Lectors are liturgical ministers who participate at Mass by proclaiming the Word of God with clarity, reverence, and conviction during the liturgy, bringing the Scriptures to life through their faithful and prayerful reading, and inspiring others to deepen their faith and encounter God through His living Word. Our goals are to help the congregation engage in the liturgy by offering the readings to enable them to understand and reflect.

There is a lector participating at every Mass at IHM, including daily Masses, funerals and other special liturgies. In addition to providing support through reading the Scriptures, we endeavor to contribute to the welcoming culture of our parish by greeting parishioners at the narthex before and after Mass.
