Looking for folks to donate cooked turkeys, cooked hams, mashed potatoes, green bean casseroles, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, rolls and desserts. Please drop off your cooked dishes at the Nazareth Center before 12 noon! Place your dish in aluminum sheet containers and label them with contents and heating instructions. You are invited to attend the third event of the Beta: A Science and Faith Discussion series.  We will explore the implications of AI with the following program:

 From Silicon Valley to the Vatican: Is it about the data or the divine? Are we playing God or seeking God with AI?

The Beta team will present a review and discussion of recent happenings, themes, and perspectives on AI, Technology, and the Church – and what this means for our society and faith.

We will meet on zoom on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 7:30 PM. 

If you are interested in attending, please register for the session NOW through this link, so the Beta Team can send you some material to optionally review in advance of the discussion. We anticipate a lively and thought-provoking discussion and hope that you will leave the meeting with a more spiritually informed perspective on AI!

IHM has been assigned a monthly opportunity to serve the homeless at St. John's Soup Kitchen in Newark. Our assigned slot is the first Tuesday of every month for the next 12 months beginning January 7th, 2025. The dates in 2025 are scheduled:

We will need 5 volunteers for each date. We will arrange to leave from the Nazareth Center at 9:30 AM and return 1:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to help those in need. The Knights of Columbus Fr. Nelligan Council 60th Anniversary Celebration
Dinner and Jazz Concert
Friday December 5, 2025

The event will run from 7-10 pm. A pasta dinner will begin at 7 pm, and the band will begin playing at about 8 pm. The cost is $20 per person.

The performance will be by the Kean University Jazz Ensemble combined with the New Jersey Jazz Academy big band (Elefante Music), under the direction of Vincent Turturiello. Proceeds of the event go to support the charitable work of Council 5730.

Advent and Christmas are quickly approaching! We will celebrate the season by illuminating the perimeter of our outdoor Nativity scene with beautiful six foot fresh cut Christmas trees covered with lights!

 We offer the opportunity to dedicate a Christmas tree on behalf of a loved one (living or deceased), an organization, or for a personal family Christmas greeting. The trees will be affixed with a plaque containing the names to be memorialized and honored.

Open to ALL MEN. Coffee & Light Refreshments will be served. All men are welcome to come and socialize a bit over coffee and donuts and discuss Sunday’s scripture. The Prayer Shawl Knitting Group makes hand-made prayer shawls for parishioners who are ill and we create scarves & hats for the needy.
