IHM has been assigned a monthly opportunity to serve the homeless at St. John's Soup Kitchen in Newark. Our assigned slot is the first Tuesday of every month for the next 12 months beginning January 6th, 2026.
We will need 5 volunteers for each date. We will arrange to leave from the Nazareth Center at 9:30 am and return 1:00 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to help those in need. These events involve plating and serving lunches to over 250 men, women and children. Please let us know if you are available to help by checking-in below or call our office at 908-889-2100 if you need help. Thank you!

IHM Men’s Scripture & Discussion Group LIVE, In-Person meeting. Live meetings will be held on the 2nd Saturday morning of every month at 7:30AM in the church basement.
Open to ALL MEN. Coffee & Light Refreshments will be served. All men are welcome to come and socialize a bit over coffee and donuts and discuss Sunday’s scripture. The meeting will last about an hour. This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded men of the Parish in a low pressure environment while gaining a better understanding of the Gospel. We will need 5 volunteers for each date. We will arrange to leave from the Nazareth Center at 9:30 am and return 1:00 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to help those in need. These events involve plating and serving lunches to over 250 men, women and children. The Christmas Pageant will take place on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th. at 3:30 pm.
There will be a rehearsal to be scheduled soon. (Likely the Sunday Before after Mass)
We can accept 10 children for roles, however, any young child can participate as a shepherd or angel!
Sign up by December 17th to assure that there will be a spot for your child, and so that we can fill you in with more information!

The Prayer Shawl Knitting Group makes hand-made prayer shawls for parishioners who are ill and we create scarves & hats for the needy.
We will gather every 3rd Sunday of the month (after 10:00 AM Mass) in the Nazareth Center at approximately 11:00 AM.

Youth Food Pantry Service Day
December 10 & 17, 2025
4:00 pm at IHM Food Pantry
There will be two more food deliveries this month on Wednesday, December 10th and the 17th. We had a large turnout for both deliveries in November and we hope to invite more Youth Group members to the events this month. The Food Pantry entrance is at the rear entrance of the church. Immaculate Heart of Mary is located at 1571 Martine Ave in Scotch Plains, NJ. Contact Jack if you have questions.
