Beta: A Science and Faith Discussion

Our last session explored the implications of AI. It was well-attended with over 30 participants! The Beta team and participants engaged in a lively discussion which resulted in a decision to continue the conversation about AI and the Catholic Church. The focus of this session will be: From Silicon Valley to the Vatican (Part II) Shaping the guardrails of AI - and finding a center

The Beta team will present a review and discussion of recent happenings, themes, and perspectives on AI, Technology, and the Church – and what this means for our society and faith. In this session, we aim to explore topics such as: human dignity, intelligence and encounters; morals and ethics; sensationalism; and the historic development of new technologies. It is not necessary to have attended the previous session to attend the Part II discussion.

We will meet on ZOOM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 7:30 PM.  If you are interested in attending, please register for the session NOW through this link, so the Beta Team can send you some material to optionally review in advance of the discussion.
