Good People make everything possible. A very large thank you to all the volunteers who donated, cooked served and cleaned for our 1st Annual Thanksgiving dinner cohosted by All Saints Episcopal Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. The amazing Elaine Coupe and volunteers from All Saints and IHM set up for our Thanksgiving Dinner at All Saints Episcopal Church. We look forward to welcoming 80+ people to a full turkey dinner with all the fixings courtesy of you all, our most generous community. God is Good! What a community we live in, nothing but love!

Sandwiches for the Homeless

Sandwiches for the Homeless

November 18, 2022

The power of doing good was in full force this evening in Scotch Plains. Teens from All Saints Episcopal Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, First United Methodist Chirch and St Bartholomew Chuch came together to make lunches for the guests at St Vincent De Paul’s food pantry. It was wonderful to see so many young people coming together to server those that need our help. A big thank you to the Rev Susanna Gates and her team for organizing and hosting all of us.

Blessing of the Animals

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS

October 8, 2022

The Blessing of the Animals was a success! Originally planned for the first of October but rescheduled due to rain. But the Lord blessed us with a beautiful sunny day the following week. Puppies and kittens around the neighborhood put their differences aside for a gathering of faith around the Lady of Fatima Garden. Thanks to Fr. Valentine for the blessings. It was a purr-fect day!

THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY

THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY

August 15, 2022

The Assumption of Mary which we celebrate on Monday (not a Holy Day of Obligation this year because it is on a Monday) is a time to remember the great things that God has done for Mary, inviting her deeper and deeper into relationship with Him, becoming the mother of His Son, Jesus, and finally lifting her up, body and soul, into His heavenly Kingdom. It is also a reminder of the promises of eternal life that God has made to us, and shows that our faith and hope are not in vain. The gospel invites us to remember with praise and gratitude the great things that God has done and continues to do for us. We are also challenged and encouraged to recognize the presence of our Lord in our lives, opening us up to the marvels of his love, for He indeed comes to us each and every day.

Peace, Fr. Mike

In the precious name of Jesus and Mother Mary, I would like to thank you dear Fr. Mike, the pastor, Fr. Valentine the associate pastor, and Fr. Rob and dear faithful of IHM parish, for your generous support to my mission back in India, Diocese of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. I really enjoyed my stay in IHM! Your kind support will really be a good help for the different needs of our mission, like education of children from child labor, forced labor, and bonded labor. Little girls will be taken to school and not to work. Training of seminarians for priesthood, providing safe drinking water and sanitation, for the project of protection of women and children, empowerment of widows, health and hygiene programs, income generation programs for poor women and helpless widows, and housing program for the shelter less in our mission diocese. May I promise our prayers for you all and may God bless you all. Thank you so much.
