O Antiphons of Advent 2023

The O Antiphons refer to the seven antiphons that are recited. They are the Antiphons preceding the Magnificat during evening prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours, from December 17-23 as well as the Alleluia verse preceding the Gospel during daily Mass. This year the priests of Immaculate Heart of Mary offer reflections on these antiphons in the hope that they will help your prayer and preparation for the coming celebration of Christmas. March 28, 2022: Scotch Plains' Immaculate Heart of Mary Holds Easter Basket-Making Event for the IHM Food Pantry

The youth group at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (IHM) in Scotch Plains made 137 baskets over the weekend for IHM food pantry guests.

The "Families of Faith" group worked on the baskets the entire day on Sunday, creating 63 baskets in the morning, and 74 baskets at night were created by 26 teens in the eighth grade youth group. Teen peer leaders at IHM helped take charge in the event. The elements of the Easter baskets (candy, books, toys, bubbles) were all donated.
